Axis & Allies 50th Anniversay Edition Photos Part 1

After I bought my copy of the Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition game [Amazon], I took a few moments to take some photos. So far my impression is that the game is huge and has a lot of high quality pieces and components. Read the rest of the story to view the rest of the photos. In some cases I put a deck of card in the picture so that you can get an idea of how big it really is.

The much awaited Axis & Allies 50th Anniversary Edition [Amazon] has been release today, November 18, 2008. This new game promises to be great with a huge map, new countries, hundreds of pieces, new units, and all the rules to go along with it. I was unable to acquire an advance copy but I will post photos online as soon as I have a copy of the game in hand. Stay tuned for another article. In the mean time, check out the links on the Avalon Hill site about Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition.

Field Marshal Combat Dice for Axis & Allies

The folks at Field Marshall Games have created some great dice that are specifically themed for use with World War II board games. The dice fit in perfect with any Axis & Allies or other WWII game. Each die has familiar World War II markings in place of the 1. The set that I received included dice representing USSR, Germany, UK, Japan, and USA. I've been informed that soon to be produce will be dice for both Italy and China. Read the rest of the story to see more picture. Otherwise, go to Field Marshall Games to order your set of dice. You can also get a free dice bag on large orders with Field Marshall Games

Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition More Details

Avalon Hill and Wizards of the Coast have revealed more information about the upcoming new release of Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition. First off, the box art has been revealed, click the link to the left for a larger sample. The first thing I noticed was a return to the red Axis & Allies logo. The release date for this new edition is October 23, 2008 and will be solf for $100. That seems like a lot of money for an Axis & Allies game but you'll be getting a lot of board game for your money. Continue reading the article for more details.
Axis & Allies Revised on Game Table Online at Gleemax

Update August 4, 2008: Avalon Hill has decided to shut down Gleemax.

Several weeks ago Avalon Hill launched an online version of Axis &
Allies Revised Edtion on the Wizards of the Coast Gleemax Alpha portal
site. It wasn't until recently that I had the opportunity to log on and
try out a game. The following article is feedback that I have about the
Gleemax Axis & Allies board game.

Now, I have had a few requests, questions, concerns
regarding the Event # for events I will be running at Origins. The

While I admit I do not follow all nine steps myself, I will also admit

Allies Revised, Axis and Allies Revised enhanced and the other flavors
of Axis and Allies has been because I have failed to abide by the nine
