Update August 4, 2008: Avalon Hill has decided to shut down Gleemax.

Several weeks ago Avalon Hill launched an online version of Axis & Allies Revised Edtion on the Wizards of the Coast Gleemax Alpha portal site. It wasn't until recently that I had the opportunity to log on and try out a game. The following article is feedback that I have about the Gleemax Axis & Allies board game.

Avalon Hill has started a series of strategy guides for Axis & Allies Guadalcanal. Part 1 of this series was released a few weeks ago and goes over some of the basic mechanics of the game and some of the obvious options that you have in the game. It's a quick read so take a look and discuss it in the forums.

Last week Avalon Hill published two stories by Nate Heiss, a developer of the Axis & Allies Guadalcanal. The first article, Guadalcanal Developer's Notes Part 1, is an introduction of the Guadalcanal game. The second article, Guadalcanal Developer's Notes part 2, goes over the details of the battle box (which we reported about a few weeks earlier). Finally, it is important to at least read the end of both stories because there are rules errata for the game. For your convenience the rules errata is listed below.
